What to Expect from When Calls the Heart Spin-Off? When Hope Calls Cast!
Hallmark has ordered a spin-off for a fan-favourite series, When Calls the Heart. The series will premiere in Hallmark Movies Now’s new streaming service, which costs around $6 a month. Subscribers will access Hallmark movies and TV shows like Heartland, Cedars Cove, Chesapeake Shores and Signed, Sealed, Delivered.
When Calls The Heart Spinoff
The upcoming spin-off of WCTH will be Crown Media Family Network’s first-ever streaming series, which is set to premiere in August 2019. Crown Media Family Networks’ Executive Vice President, Michelle Vicary, stated,
“When Hope Calls’ embodies the same heartfelt themes of community, family and faith that have resonated so strongly with ‘When Calls the Heart’ fans over the past six years. This is another series that viewers are sure to treasure. The series rounds out the experience we are offering loyal viewers in 2019. Along with our linear networks, publishing and podcast platforms, our SVOD service is another way to enjoy the original content our brand is known for.”
The series will follow two sisters, Lillian (Morgan Kohan) and Grace (Jocelyn Hudon), who were orphaned and raised differently. The storyline will be based on their reunion as adults. The sisters open an orphanage in a small Northwest town in the early 1900s, the time when the city and the people are transitioning from the times of horse and buggy to cars and techs.
The characters were introduced to the Hearties in the 2018 Christmas special When Calls the Heart: The Greatest Christmas Blessing as the caretaker of the orphans. WCTH executive producer and co-creator Brian Bird said on Facebook that we would see some new characters, but he didn’t say we won’t see any old surfaces.
