Fans adored Kate Rorke, the ex-wife of Andy Bassich from Life Below Zero, from her first appearance in the reality show in 2013. While we catch most of the show’s cast in the new season, we will not see Kate, which has dismayed her fans.
What is Kate Rorke doing now?
Not originally from Alaska, Kate was married to co-star Andy when she first appeared in the show. The pair first met on vacation, and after a short budding romance, Kate decided to move north to be with Andy. Shortly after, Kate and Andy took their relationship to the next level by tying the knot. But sadly, their marriage didn’t last as they decided to part ways in 2015. Their divorce was finalized the following year.

After the divorce, she moved away from Alaska, ending her time in the National Geography series. Later, she shared the reason behind the split, opening up about Andy’s abusive nature. Though she is away from the limelight, she has been in touch with her fans via Facebook, where she updates about her day-to-day life in Newfoundland in Canada.
More recently, she returned from her vacation in the Caribbean. Furthermore, she even shared a reunion picture with her brother, Tolson, 16 years. Even after three years of her departure, her followers still look forward to seeing more of her in the show. It seems beyond the bounds of possibility. While she is rejoicing in her life in Canada, Andy is living with his dog in Alaska. More recently, he lost his beloved dog, Iceberg.
