To those wondering what happened to Mike & Mike, it’s going off air soon! It’s true that the pair are officially parting ways after two decades on ESPN. Mike Greenberg is set to begin a new ESPN project while his partner Mike Golic will carry on with the show with new co-host Trey Wingo.

Mike & Mike ending on November 17 after nearly two decades

The show began in 2000 and over the years, it has gained popularity for its innocent banter between the hosts, who have the same first name – Mike. It has been revealed the last Mike & Mike show will air on November 17.

Greenberg told the Chicago Tribune that he was “endlessly grateful” to his co-host but it was time he moved on. ESPN is constructing a new studio in Manhattan for Greenberg’s new porject Get Up. Michelle Beadle and Jalen Rose will be joining him as co-hosts.

“It’s a terrific title because it can mean a lot of different things — not just ‘wake up’ but ‘let’s get going and be the best we can be today. Get up with Greeny and Beadle and Jalen. It’s perfect,” wrote Greenberg in a text to the outlet.

Mike Golic will get a new co-host on Mike & Mike

The show’s going to need a new name now that the Mikes are separating. ESPN has revealed that Trey Wingo will be replacing Greenberg as Golic’s new partner.

Wingo even appeared on the show with Greenberg and Golic in September, which led to an awkward Mike & Mike episode.
