Chicago-born actress Tempestt Bledsoe has successfully carved her name in show business since an early age, playing a childhood role for a character Vanessa Huxtable in long-running NBC show The Cosby Show from 1984 to 1992. Being one of the major cast members of new NBC series Guy With Kids, she portrayed a role of Marny for several months during 2012.

Bledsoe was born on 1st August 1973 in Chicago, Illinois, United States. Sharing a familiarity with an on-screen camera from a very young age, she appeared in the commercial for Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes and Safeway grocery stores just at 4.

Afterward, following her passion for acting, she went on to audition for a new television series The Cosby Show at the age of 9. The sitcom was instant hit earning high ratings and the success continued to all seasons throughout seven years. She achieved widespread popularity with her role as Vanessa Huxtable, 4th of 5 children in a family from Brooklyn.

Growing up with her real-life siblings on a national television, Bledsoe attended a school in New York City and afterward pursued a degree majoring in Finance at New York University while the series was still in the cast.
