Pauley Perrette is Returning with a New Show After NCIS Exit!
Pauley Perrette is returning to TV nearly a year after walking away from her fan-favorite role as Abby Sciuto in CBS procedural NCIS.
New Show of Pauley Perrette
She is set to return to CBS, joining Jane the Virgin star Jaime Camil in the comedy pilot, Broke. The new sitcom, written by Alex Herschlag and executive produced by Jennie Snyder Urman, centers around outrageously wealthy trust fund baby Miguel played by Camil. After Miguel is cut off from the trust fund, he and his wife move into her estranged sister Jackie Reseda’s (Perrette) condo, forcing them to reunite.
Many described Jackie as “feisty, not easily cowed, sometimes hot-headed, the kind of woman who knows her way around a toolbox and an acetylene torch.” Jackie doesn’t seem happy with the sudden arrival of her snobby rich sister and her husband at her doorstep. But, she appreciates them remembering how much she loves her sister.
She is the manager of a bar and a struggling single mom of a nine-year-old son. NCIS fans became highly disappointed when Pauley decided to exit the show. After playing the fan-favorite forensic scientist for 15 seasons. Her return with the role in multi-camera comedy will be a perfect treat for fans.
Around the time NCIS season 16 premiered in September 2018, Michael Weatherly hinted at Pauley’s return to TV. He stated,
“I know that Pauley Perrette will be back in some capacity. I’m just saying. And I think that she’s gonna be — I think everyone misses her already, and she’ll be back and funnier than ever. She’s a fierce lady and one of my favorite people on the planet.”
