The filming of the fourth season of Starz’s historical fiction drama, Outlander, is still underway, with the premiere date set for November.

But, putting the fans on cloud nine, Starz announced that the show will be back for the 5th and 6th run as well.

Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan starring time travel romance drama is based on Diana Gabaldon’s best-selling novel series.

The married couple, Claire Randall and Jamie Fraser, facing various challenges, adversaries and adventures, has been worth watching.

The season five and six will also show up the similar plots, and the story will continue with Frasers settling in the New World.

Both the fifth and sixth season will air 12 episodes and are expected to premiere in 2019 and 2020 respectively.

The Season 5 will be based on 2001’s ‘The Fiery Cross’ and the season 6 on 2005’s ‘A Breath of Snow and Ashes’ novels.

In case you’re wondering, today’s renewals doesn’t mean they are anywhere near the end of show’s potential run.

In the 3rd season, fans watched Balfe and Heughan’s characters washed up ashore in what is now the state of Georgia, as occurred in ‘Voyager’ novel.

It will be more interesting to watch what the 13-episodes season 4 based on 1996 book, Drums of Autumn, has to offer.
