Divorce heartache: Cold Feet actor James Nesbitt is hit hard by end of his 22-years-long marriage
Nothing shatters you more than a broken relationship. And same is the condition with actor James Nesbitt, currently. He is going through the heartbreak of divorce – as his Cold Feet character’s nuptials also hits the rocks.
The pair – James Nesbitt and Sonia Forbes-Adam, who are the parents of two teenaged daughters, are finally calling it quits officially through the High Court.
The decree absolute is yet to be issued. However, Sonia, who gave up her acting career to give good upbringing to their princesses, has moved into a 1.6 million house. Additionally, she has also resigned from Nesbitt’s Brown Cow Films company after her 15-years stint as a director.
James, a newlywed Adam in popular ITV series Cold Feet, is residing a mile away in South London.
Womanizer Nesbitt has previously spoken about having a number of flings behind Sonia’s back. He said, “This difficulty is I want to chase love and the mixture of romance and alcohol is lethal. Yet have I ever done anything really bad when I was sober? No. it was never anything to do with my wife.”
James is now regretting any of his actions, that hurt his family. The UK-born actor said, “Anytime I did anything like that, there was drink involved. I just regret the hurt it caused my family.”
James and Sonia were living separately from over two years but remained on an amicable relationship. However, there is no involvement of third parties.
Reports claimed that James was really sad when his loving wife finally decided to give up in 2013 and that James didn’t want to accept it.
The couple’s spokesman stated, “There he was wandering around looking like a little boy lost.He’s an outrageous flirt, though, but not in a sleazy way. It might be a bit of cliché, but he is just charming. He really felt or him- he is genuinely one of the nicest people to work with.”
James, 51, and aged Sonia, 50, were firstly introduced to each other in 1989. A few years of romance afterward was followed the marriage in 1994.
