The British television series, Top Gear, has had three different iterations, but none of the other became as famous as the one hosted by James May and his colleagues, Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond.

The trio has collected a huge fan following, with their wit and humour, especially James May, who is often referred by the guys as “Captain Slow.”

He has brought in the show, what others lacked, thus making Top Gear, an awesome reality series, and while BBC might have ended their relationship with them, they are back with Grand Tour, a brand new show, on Netflix.

Today, we bring you the cars James May owns or have owned at some point of time.

Bentley T2:

This car holds a special place for May as it is the first car that he reviewed on Top Gear. Though he sold it in 2007, it was one of his favorites, and we can imagine why.

2013 Dacia Sandero:

In an interview with Skavlan, James mentioned that he really likes small cars, especially 2013 Dacia Sandero. The humorous brit even went on to say that the car only had one fan.

Porsche 911:

It is unsurprising that this beauty is one of May’s favorite cars as we mentioned earlier, James is really into small cars, and who doesn’t love a Porsche.

According to him, the 1984 Porsche 911 is the best car he ever bought.

Bentley Continental R:

Though the Continental is one of favorite cars of all time, he wouldn’t universally recommend it.

James said that parking the car is always an issue and that it sucks up too much gas.

Ferrari 458 Speciale:

Considering his love for muscle cars, James waited a long time to get his hands on 458 Speciale.

He actually purchased the very last limited edition Ferrari 458. Maybe being slow made him hesitant to buy it in the first place.

1991 Citroen AX GT:

We all can agree that this car is not much of a looker, but this is somehow May’s favorite car to drive.

Fiat Panda:

James talked quite a lot about how much he loved the car on ‘Top Gear.’ Richard and Jeremy later started a joke about May and the Panda.

Eventually he drove the car into the ground and later bought a BMW i3.

Ferrari Enzo:

Though James mostly likes slow and small cars, it is quite a surprise that he owns two Ferraris.

However, he wouldn’t even recommend his Ferrari Enzo to anyone. Maybe he was attracted to the car’s curves, who knows.

Rolls Royce Phantom:

Known for its slick looks, Rolls Royce Phantom is a must have for many car enthusiasts. But not exactly for James because he hardly drives it.

According to a source, he only uses the Phantom to pick up his friends from the airport.

Vauxhall Cavalier MK1:

Would it sound crazy to say that James still owns his very first car? Well it might, when you hear him say that driving the car made him feel like he was going into space.

According to his statement, he nearly died with “excitement.”

That’s the end of the list. Which one do you want in your garage? Let us know in the comments below and don’t forget to leave a like and “subscribe to our channel.”
