Sean Dwyer is well recognized as the youngest captain appearing in Discovery’s ‘Deadliest Catch.’

He was born to a fisherman, Pat Dwyer, and Jenny Dwyer, owners of F/V Brenna and St. George Marine, Inc.

Pat bought the boat in 2005 and named it after his daughter, Brenna Adele, and operated it until he died of ALS in 2013.

Then, Jenny was left with a huge responsibility of continuing with the family business and continuing the legacy of her late husband.

Amidst the dilemma of not sending her son to the world’s most dangerous job and continuing with the well to do business, she chose to inspire Sean to fish.

Sean, who got into fishing at a very young age, took the helm of Brenna A at the age of 24.

Sean, who holds a degree in diesel engine maintenance, spent three years on Brenna A’s sister fishing vessel, the Jennifer A working as an engineer.

Now, he has achieved his father’s dream of him leading the Brenna A to the crabbing grounds.

While getting the boat ready, he had established himself as a firm, but fair leader of a crew.

His crew includes fishers with minimal experiences in the sea, but he has come up with the spirit that can help his father’s legacy live on.

He joined season 12 of ‘Deadliest Catch’ as the youngest captain to come aboard and also appeared in the season 13.

Though he is relatively new to commercial fishery, he has learned about every aspect of boats and business from his father.

Veteran captain, Sig Hansen seems to be supporting him during the tough times.

He has been regular on social media, where he has been updating fans about the crabbing seasons.

His crew has recently returned home with the end of Opilio season 2018.

He is currently dating a beautiful girl named Bri, to whom he proposed in the fall of 2017.

Bri also seems to be backing Sean in Brenna A.
