Born as Ashley Nicolle Simpson, on October 3rd, 1984, in Waco, Texas, United States, is the child of Joseph Truett “Joe” Simpson & Tina Ann, who was raised alongside her older sister, Jessica Simpson. Both Simpson girls attended North Junior High & Prairie Creek Elementary, situated in Richardson, Texas, where they were raised.

Started to incline towards performing during her childhood, initially by taking ballet class at the age of three, Ashlee later got admitted at the School of American Ballet, located in New York City. Afterward, in 1999, the Simpson’s family moved to Los Angeles, as the girls wanted to pursue their career.

While Jessica was launching her singing vocation, Ashlee initiated appearing in a TV commercial. Following the appearance on Malcolm in the Middle & 2002’s The Hot Chick, Ashlee landed a regular role on TV series, Seventh Heaven, however, her heart was set on a music career.
