Andrea McLean, the TV presenter, has spoken for the first time since having the hysterectomy which will harshly rob her dream of having children with her companion. Her partner, Nick Feeney consolidated his lady love as the two saw their desire of having a baby boy with blue eyes vanish like a smoke.

The heartbreaking moment came days ago, ending her and partner Nick’s chances of celebrating parenthood. The incident took place a month after the TV presenter opted for Hysterectomy, surgery to remove all or part of the womb.

It surely took have a huge amount of courage for the couple, especially for Andrea, to take the tough decision.

It was not because of her will she made the decision but because of the fact that her health was giving up. Andrea battled for more than a year before making the groundbreaking decision.

Speaking about her heartache, she said she would often be doubled up in pain before hosting the ITV daytime talk show due to her battles with endometriosis and the perimenopause.

The 47 years old TV presenter’s symptoms went from bad to worse and the only option left for was to go for the surgery which would end her dreams. After seeking medical help, she discussed the issue with her man of two years Nick and told him that she needed a Hysterectomy.

It surely was a tough decision to make for the couples.

Nick, to his credit, stayed with his lady love in these testing times. Praising her man the TV presenter said, “I’m really lucky to be in a relationship with a lovely man so it was obviously a big decision. Nick and I have children of our own and we hadn’t talked about having children before.”

She further added, “Nick was brilliant, he just said, “If you are OK, I’m OK, that’s all that counts.” We made the decision, had a big hug and counted our blessings.”

Andrea is currently in the process of recovering from her life-changing surgery, which 55,000 women undergo each year in the United Kingdom. Andrea has to return to the TV show “Loose Women” in a fortnight’s time.

Andrea has faced several testing times in her life, and yet she had always fought and found her way back to happiness, this time, though, the issue is different. The storm that she has inside her is definitely unmatched by the issues she faced in her past. It will be an uphill battle but yet we hope that she stays strong in these testing times.
