Tim Allen is an American comedian and actor who is best known for his comic roles in television and film. He rose to prominence when he landed the role of Tim “The Toolman” Taylor in the ABC sitcom Home Improvement. Some of his major contributions to Hollywood include The Santa Clause trilogy, Wild Dogs, Galaxy Quest and Toy Story trilogy.

Currently in his 60s, Tim Allen was born as Timothy Allen Dick on 13th June 1953, in Denver, Colorado. The third oldest brother among five, Allen lost his father in a car accident when he was 11. His mother married a business executive after the demise of his father. 

Following their marriage, Allen with his four siblings moved to Birmingham in order to live with their new father and his three children. Allen attended the Seaholm High School and later graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in communications from Western Michigan University.

Tim Allen has been married twice. He has a child from each of his marriages and is currently married to television actress Jane Hajduk.
