Ali Velshi, NBC’s Chief Business Correspondent, and his married life
An account of Ali Velshi and Lori Wachs’s love story
Ali Velshi and Lori tied the knot in 2009, possibly after years of dating. They first met on one of his shows sometime during the early 2000s and started dating. In an interview in 2014, the couple revealed the challenges they have faced in a long-term relationship.
Lori is a hedge fund manager and is currently the president of Cross Ledge Investments in Philadelphia. Active in marketing the investment products, she has been regularly featured on ABC World News Tonight, Good Morning America, CNBC, Fox News Channel and Bloomberg News as an expert on retail and consumer investments and fashion trends.
Ali and Lori have a tough time coping with their busy routines. However, they have wisely maintained a balance between their personal and professional life.
Since they got married, they spent time together only during the weekends. Lori had once revealed in an interview that the longest time they have spent together was on a two-week trip.
Likewise, Ali has also admitted, “If anything, our weekends are much more domestic than many, because there’s no way to spread that stuff over the course of the week. The tension is that we just want to hang out together but the stuff has to get done.”
Lori Wachs is Ali Velshi’s second wife.
It’s not the first marriage for both Ali and Lori. He married for the first time during his 20s. But the union was brief. No detail of his first wife’s identity and duration of the marriage have been revealed.
Lori was already a mom of two children when she met Ali. However, the identity of her baby’s father is concealed.
