Why is Adam Housley Leaving Fox News? Objection to Trump Era or Family Time!
Adam Housley is leaving Fox News! The senior correspondent is leaving the network at the end of this month. The Los Angeles-based reporter declined an interview, but he has much to say to his well-wishers.
Why is Adam Housley leaving Fox News?
Adam Housley quit his long-time job to spend more time with his family. Furthermore, Housley has two kids, Aden and Ariah, and his wife, Tamera Mowry-Housley (married in 2011). Fox News president, Jay Wallace, stated,
We thank Adam for his many years of service – his passion for storytelling, professionalism and dedication to journalism made our reporting stand out on countless stories throughout his tenure. We wish him and his family the very best.
Adam joined the network in 2001 as an LA-based senior correspondent. Likewise, Housley served with dedication during his 17-year tenure at the network. Traveling worldwide, he has covered major events! Moreover, he covered news on the Iraq War, 2005 Hurricane Katrina, the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake, tsunami and more. Currently, he is in Maui, covering Hurricane Lane.
According to a statement released by a Fox News spokesperson, Housley said that he wants to stay close to his wife and kids in Northern California and will run his family winery. He added that he wasn’t that proud to cover the devastating news like wars, tsunamis and more. But, he feels grateful for an extraordinary opportunity to stay at the forefront of media and update the world with ongoing events.
Farewell from Adam’s Co-workers
Many of his co-workers have taken to social media to thank him for an amazing journey together and wish him the best with his family. However, reports have claimed that his decision to leave the network after 17 years was prompted by the direction and tone of the network in recent times.
He believed that with the growth of the network’s focus on Trump, the number of talking-head panels during news shows increased rapidly. According to other network associates, his objections to the Trump-era Fox News are shared within the network’s reporting corps.
The former Fox News Jerusalem bureau reporter, Conor Powell, left the network for similar reasons earlier this month. We wish you good luck with your future endeavors, Adam!
