Everyone one knows William Jonathan Drayton Jr. a.k.a Flavor Flav from his signature large clock necklaces and for yelling out ‘Yeah, boyeee!’ and ‘Flavor Flav!.’ Flav rose to prominence as one of the founding members of the hip-hop group, Public Enemy. The 59-year-old is also best known for appearing in several VH1 reality shows, including The Surreal Life, Strange Love, and Flavor of Love. Apart from the news in January 2018, when he was attacked at South Point, Las Vegas, we have not heard much from Flav. So, what actually happened to Flav?
1.Troubled marriage
Flav has been married to Liz Trujillo for over a decade now, and she is also the mother of his youngest son, Karma. However, his marriage wasn’t smooth at the beginning. Flav was publicly dating new women for VH1’s reality show Flavor of Love, when he was first engaged to Liz. Other than that, he had some flings with women like Hoopz, Deelishis, and Brigitte Nielsen. The couples also appeared in the reality show, Couples Therapy, in 2013.

2. Run-ins with law
Flav has a bad driving history. In Jan 2014, he was arrested by Long Island police officers for speeding. In May 2015, he was pulled over by cops in Las Vegas for a number of violations including: possession of marijuana, driving with an open container, driving at 73 mph in a 45 mph zone (speeding), having a fake registration and driving on a suspended license. He also admitted that he was high at that time.

3. Struggles to pay Child support
Flavour had an estimated net worth of $9 million in 2006 and only $3 million as of 2018. So where did the $6 million go? Flav is a father of 7, three with Karen Ross, three with Angie Parker and Karma. In 2012, Angie Parker took him to court for not paying $111,186 in child support.
4. Failed food empire
In 2011, Flav opened Flav’s Fried Chicken in Iowa. In 2012, he teamed up with Gino Harmon and Salvatore Bitonti to start a national franchise known as Flavor Flav’s Chicken & Ribs. The restaurant closed in July 2013 after they failed to pay rent.

5. National debts
The IRS targeted him in 2004, 2005 and 2006 for tax evasion. Reportedly, he owed $906K to the government, and it is still unclear he has paid this debt or not.
