Suzanne tied the knot with Richard for the first time on August 7, 1999. They got divorced shortly after their tenth wedding anniversary in 2009.

Richard partly blames his fame and success on Fast N’ Loud for the divorce. The hectic nature of the job and the work obligations took a toll in their marriage. Fast N’ Loud hadn’t premiered during their divorce but it was most likely in its early stages and needed Richard’s attention. Gas Monkey Garage had been operating for five years by the time Richard divorced Suzanne. 

“We got divorced while all the [Gas Monkey and Fast N’ Loud] stuff was happening and it was hard for her to put up with it. So it was rough on her for awhile. I’m traveling, I’m gone, and, of course, there are lots of girls out there,” said Richard in 2015.

Suzanne Rawlings remarried Richard Rawlings!

It took the couple six years to find their way back to each other. Better late than never, right? Their decade-long marriage might have ended but they kept in touch and remained good friends. 

Apparently, in January of 2015, they took a trip to Cabo to celebrate Richard’s friend, Dennis Collins’ birthday. As fate would have it, they ended up tying the knot for the second time.

“It was spur-of-the-moment down in Cabo in January,” said Richard. He posted a photo of him with his newly wedded wife on Facebook and in the caption he wrote, “Came down to Cabo to surprise my best friend on his birthday and ended up remarrying my other best friend! GYSOT!!”
