Rodney Harrison takes the spotlight at the NFL season opener
Fans have taken to Twitter to vent their frustration of the Patriots loss but it looks like they’re also quite amused by the reactions of the on-field reporter and former professional football player Rodney Harrison.
The New England Patriots suffered an embarrassing upset in the opening game of the season at the hands of the Kansas City Chiefs. The Patriots were predicted to have an undefeated streak this season but they were trounced by the Chiefs 42-27.
And Rodney was NOT happy about it. The commentator looked visibly upset by the players’ performance and didn’t hold back his thoughts while reporting the game live.
He went on to call the Patriots owner Robert Kraft “cheap,” as a joke. What he said was, “He’s cheap, should have paid me a lot more.” He played for the Patriots five years and retired from the game in 2009.
Fans on Twitter were quick to comment about Harrison’s mood during the game. Here are some of the reactions on Twitter.

Surprised Rodney Harrison didn’t leave the stadium. I bet he cries after the cameras leave.
