American singer-songwriter and voice actress Noah Cyrus is best known for her hit debut single, Make Me (Cry). She is also recognized for her debut animated feature film, Ponto, which she starred in 2008. Noah is the younger sister of singer Miley Cyrus and the youngest daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus.
Noah Lindsey Cyrus was born on January 8, 2000, in Nashville, Tennessee, to Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus. Her brother, Trace Cyrus, is the lead guitarist of Metro Station. She has two half-siblings from her mother's side.
Noah began acting when she was three, portraying a character in the television series, Doc, in which her father starred. She appeared as a background dancer in the Miley Cyrus starrer Hannah Montana: The Movie in 2009. She voiced the lead character in the English version of Ponyo. She also had a short-lived web-show called The Noie and Ems Show, which she hosted with Emily Grace Reaves.
In November 2016, Noah signed a record deal with Barry Weiss’ RECORDS. Her debut single, Make Me (Cry), was released the same month. The song featured vocals from English singer Labrinth, who also co-wrote and produced the song. Make Me (Cry) has been nominated for the Best Breakup Song at the Radio Disney Music Awards. Her debut album, NC-17, will be released sometime in 2017.
