Memphis is basically seen singing songs for Hip pop genres. He was amongst the first artist who signed for the Roc-A-Fella Records and was guided by his longtime friend and fellow rapper Jay-Z.

Bleek who has been a close friend to Jay-Z has appeared several times on his albums which include, Hard Knock Life, Life and Times of S. Carter and The Blueprint 2 : The Gift & The Curse.

After giving up several performances for his friend Jay-Z, Bleek gave his first official performance through the album Coming of Age. The album was a success after its release which enjoyed a number 7 spot on the Billboard 200 as the week’s hot shot debut.

After the release of his first album, Memphis went on to release three more albums, M.A.D.E, The Understanding, and 534. His debut album was platinum certified while the second and the third albums were gold certified. Nevertheless, all of his albums were appreciated by the fans.

Memphis and Ashley married on 13 December 2014 in a ceremony held in the evening at The Merion situated in Cinnaminson, New Jersey.
