Following the legacy of her father, Lizzy Musi stepped into racing early in her life and made a name for herself.
She is the daughter of a doorslammer legend and engine builder, Pat Musi, whose work has helped racers with many wins.
She was born on January 1, 1991, in Carteret, New Jersey and later moved to Mooresville, North Carolina.
Growing up in the drag strip, Lizzy worked her way up through Jr. Dragster ranks.
In 2014, she became the first woman to break 200 MPH barrier in eighth-mile doorslammer racing.
In July of the same year, she also became the first woman to win a Pro Nitrous national event during PDRA Drags at Virginia Motorsports.
As a result of all her accomplishments, she won 2014 PDRA Rookie of the Year.
She has been racing regularly since then and also appears in the Discovery series, Street Outlaws.
She drives 2015 Dodge Dart Pro Mod and is sponsored by Lucas Oil, Drag 965 and Edelbrock.
She is involved in Musi Racing Engines shop, which her father moved from New Jersey to North Carolina so that, Lizzy could be close to the drag scene.
She is dating a fellow ‘Street Outlaws’ racer, Kye Kelley, which she confirmed through Facebook.
She is active on Instagram where she has over 50k followers.
