The National Hurricane Center (NHC) reports that Irma will continue moving over Georgia and will make landfall in Alabama on Tuesday Morning.

NHC also reported that the hurricane, now located in Columbus, Georgia, has weakened to a tropical depression. Almost a million people are without power in Georgia as of Monday.

According to the NHC, “all storm surge warnings and tropical storm warnings have been discontinued.” The water levels along the southeastern coast and the west coast of Florida are slowly subsiding.
