Gabriel was born on July 15, 1976, in San Diego, California. He is the youngest of six children of Esther P. Mendez and Jesus Iglesias. He was raised solely by his mother.
He first started his career working in a cell phone company in Los Angeles. Later in 1997, he started off as a full-time comedian. Slowly yet steadily, he started gaining public attention and his way of saying “Oh I’m not fat, I’m fluffy” started becoming more popular.
His ability to recreate the sounds varying from car to microwave oven made him a unique artist and it led him to several opportunities.
