Life Story of Dave Sparks: Heavy D from Diesel Brothers
David Sparks or widely known as Heavy D from ‘Diesel Brothers’ hails from the Salt Lake City in Utah.
Even as a little kid, Heavy D was mesmerized by anything that has a wheel and an engine.
He pushed his first motorcycle, a 1976 Yamaha YZ80 to its mechanical limits, making it his most famous creation, the Mega Ram Runner.
During his high school, he studied auto mechanics, fabrication, and welding which led him to work at an ATV and motorcycle rental business.
He joined Weber State University at the age of 21 but dropped out after deciding he could learn better on his own with real-world experience.
He began working on heavy equipment at his uncle’s construction business and hired his best bud Dave Kinley to help him in 2008.
He met the love of his life, Ashley Bennett Sparks at the church and married her a year later.
They raise their two children, Charley Mae Sparks and Beau Williams Sparks together in Bountiful, Utah.
Heavy D and Diesel Dave posted their custom diesel truck for sale in social media alongside videos of them creating the cars and making pranks.
They caught a lot of attention from fellow diesel truck enthusiasts and were invited to ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.’
They were contacted by Discovery Channel eventually and started filming in 2015.
The show ‘Diesel Brothers’ was first aired on January 6, 2017, on Discovery Channel.
He is also socially active and posts pictures of his creations on his Instagram account.
