Livia Giuggioli Bio: Early Life & Education
Lavia Giuggioli was born on September 4, 1969, in Rome, Italy. Furthermore, she holds the nationality of Italian. Likewise, Giuggioli comes of white ethnic descent.
There aren’t any details about Livia’s early education or parents. As such, the names of her parents remain hidden from the world. However, we know that she grew up alongside her three siblings.
Despite her parents’ opposition, Livia still managed to pursue her dreams. She attended the University of Rome and majored in film studies.
Professional Career
As soon as Lavia Giuggioli completed her studies, she dove into documentary filmmaking. Her first project was the film, Giuseppe Tornatore: A Dream Dreamt in Sicily. During the 90’s she partnered with producer Fernando Ghia working on the TV mini-series Nostromo. In 2006 she founded the company Nana Productions with husband Colin Firth producing the film, In Prison My Whole Life.
Apart from film producing, she also became actively involved in favoring eco-friendly fashion institutions such as Bangladeshi Fashion houses in 2009. She also writes an online green fashion column for Vogue magazine.

The film producer is also an environmental activist. Livia, along with her brother and close friend, Ivo Coulson, founded a shop and consultancy outfit that promotes eco-friendly fashion products called Eco-Age. The shop currently operates in Chiswick, London. Being the Creative Director of Eco-Age, she has attracted investments from several corporate companies with the help of her Green Carpet Challenge.
Relationship with Colin Firth
After meeting on the set of Nostromo in 1996, Livia Giuggioli and Colin Firth married a year later on June 21, 1997, in Città di Pieve in Italy. The couple welcomed their eldest child, Luca Firth, on March 29, 2001, and the youngest Matteo Firth in August 2003. The Love Actually star and Livia Giuggioli lived in between their homes in Rome and London with their two sons.
While The King’s Speech actor was committed to his wife, it was revealed that in March, Mrs. Firth was alleged to have a year-long affair with her childhood friend, Marco Brancaccia. The Italian journalist Marco was also accused of stalking Livia. The 55 years old Marco later told The Times that Livia falsely made the accusations of covering up their affair back in 2015-2016.

After three years of living together, the couple announced their split on December 13, 2019. The two had already previously decided on going separate ways.
