Cindy Preszler is an award winning American television weather caster. She was born in the year 1960 in South Dakota, United States. She is also the chief meteorologist of the NBC affiliate, KSDK-TV in St. Louis, Missouri.  In October 5, 1998, she joined NewsChannel 5 and is still working there at the weather department. Before KSDK-TV, she served as the weekday morning meteorologist at WMAQ-TV, Chicago, Illinois. She also worked as an on-camera meteorologist for The Weather Channel, Atlanta, Georgia. She started her career in broadcasting at WTOC-TV in Savannah, GA and remained there for two years. She graduated in 1982 from the University of South Dakota with a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication. Later, she attended meteorology classes at the Mississippi State University. She won the prestigious Emmy Award for the Best Weathercaster in 2003 and also won a Missouri Broadcaster Award.
