Austrian-born actor Boris Kodjoe is one of the exceptionally capable on-screen performers in Hollywood. He is widely recognized for his remarkable performance as Kelby in the 2002 romantic comedy movie, Brown Sugar. Currently, he is starring on BET’s reality TV series Real Husbands of Hollywood and portrays Dr. Campbell in the CBS medical drama series, Code Black.
Born on March 8, 1973, as Boris Frederic Cecil Tay-Natley Ofuatey-Kodjoe in Vienna, Austria, Boris Kodjoe has a Ghanaian father and a German mother. His physician father and psychologist mother divorced when he was six. He spent most of his childhood in Freiburg im Breisgau with his three siblings; two sisters, and one brother. Kodjoe received a tennis scholarship to study at the Virginia Commonwealth University from where he graduated in 1996. He chose to pursue modeling and acting after an injury.
Boris is happily married to wife Nicole Ari Parker. They were co-stars on the popular Showtime series, Soul Food, which aired from 2000-2004. He has two children with her, a son, and a daughter. The family lives in Los Angeles, California.
