Robert William Barker, famous as Bob Barker, is a former American TV show anchor. He dedicated almost six decades of his life to the television industry. He gained huge recognition by working on the show of CBS channel, The Price Is Right starting from 1972 till 2007.

The magnanimous man was born in Darrington, Washington, U.S. on December 12, 1923 to the family of Matilda Valandra and Byron John Baker. As per his education, he studied at the Central High School. He then joined Drury University for his higher studies. He was also involved with the Epsilon Beta Chapter. The courageous worked for the United States Navy as a fighter pilot during the World War II.

Putting light on his broadcasting career, his first job was at the KTTS-FM Radio. He later went to Florida and worked there at a radio station. He then shifted to California to make a career in broadcasting. After moving to California he launched his own radio show named, The Bob Baker Show. Bob then started anchoring Truth or Consequences in the year 1956 and started working on the show End of the Rainbow on December 4, 1957. In 1967, a new show The Family Game was launched. Bob then moved on with his career and rose into prominence day by day. Following his success, he was given the opportunity of hosting CBS’s The Price Is Right  in 1972. This event took his career journey to the next level and bagged his positive comments from both the viewers and critics. After entertaining world for nearly 60 years Bob took his retirement on 2007.
