The reality star recently posted an image of a Betty Ford Center cup on his Instagram. He had first entered rehab in 2016, and after returning from rehab, he was injured after a refrigerator exploded on the set of Browntown. Matt had entered an in-patient treatment center for alcohol abuse back in September 2018. This time, he checked in at Betty Ford in Palm Springs, weeks after his parents threatened to kick him out from the show if he didn’t take his sobriety seriously. An insider told Radar Online,
“He was on a bender and took action to save his life. His family is supportive. They are so happy he is safe and focused on his recovery again.”

“I struggle with substance abuse, and after a year of ups and downs, I decided to return to treatment. I’m really grateful for everyone’s support and hope to have my life back on track soon.”
