After two years of sticking together as one, Liza Koshy and David Dobrik decided to separate, amicably. YouTuber Dobrik posted his 439th vlog on his channel titled, “we broke up.” In the video, we can see Dobrik and his ex-girlfriend and famous YouTube personality, Liza Koshy clarifying the reason for their break-up and sometimes teasing each other.
Liza who was crying even said, they did not know what was going on and they revealed about their separation to their friends only after three months. They also disclosed that it had been six months since they broke up, and they thought now it was time to let everyone know about it. Just like in many other relationships, distance was the hindrance in their relationship and the foremost reason of their break up.
Millions of fans are left heartbroken to hear about the break up of their iconic souple, but folks, it’s entirely their call. When did Liza and David start dating?
David Dobrik and Liza Koshy have been together since November 2015. They were friends for four months before that.
They were able to keep their relationship under wraps for a couple of months. After much speculation from fans and the community, Dobrik finally made it Instagram official on February 16, 2016.
He posted a photo of him lying next to Liza and in the caption he wrote, “Is there any other way of telling everyone that you’re dating without buying 30 calendars.”

Since getting together, Dobrik and Koshy have shared several cute moments with their fans. They are hilarious in their videos and appear even more closer in their challenge videos on Liza Koshy’s second channel, Liza Koshy Too.
On May 29, 2016, Dobrik wished his girlfriend a “happy 6 monthversary” on Instagram.
Under a photo of them, he wrote, “Happy 6 monthversary to my best friend of 10 months.. And an apology for it taking me a whole 4 months to grow a pair and ask you out. no but really thank you for dating your biggest fan and giving me something I could brag about everyday. love you dude <3 HAPPY 6 MONTHS.”
He also made a 9-months post in August that year and on November 29, he posted a throwback photo of them, which gave fans a deeper look into their relationship.
In the caption, Dobrik revealed that he had taken that photo only four days after meeting her and shared that he had never been so comfortable being around someone as quickly as he had gotten with her.
“…Thank you babe for what’s been the best year of my life and thank you for letting me be there to see you become so successful. HAPPY ONE YEAR BABY. I love you so much,” continued Dobrik.

Dobrik won a Streamy for the Breakout Creator category while girlfriend Koshy nabbed the award for the Comedy category.
As if winning awards together wasn’t special enough, Dobrik later dedicated his Streamy to Liza. “Without her I’d still be milking goats back in Slovakia. Congrats on your second streamy babyyyy!” wrote Dobrik on Instagram.
