Hallmark series, When Calls the Heart, ended its fifth season with the most emotional episode ever.

With the demise of show’s lead, Jack Thornton, played by Daniel Lissing, the show will progress in a new direction.

Pregnant with Jack’s baby, the new season will focus on Erin Krakow’s character, Elizabeth Thatcher’s motherhood.

Jack and Elizabeth’s love story had held the series together and in ways, the residents of Hope Valley.

She will have a hard time without him as the five seasons showed the two develop their relationship from complete strangers to a married couple.

As Hope Valley will crackle with the laughter of young Thornton, the baby is likely to be the center premise of the next season.

Abigail Stanton will support Elizabeth get back on her own as she was the one who found out that Eli is expecting.

As a close confidante, she will stick to Elizabeth’s side, unless of course, the next season won’t have plot twists.

The renewal of the series was announced by Hallmark in March 2018 and is expected to return in February 2019.

However, a Christmas special episode is expected during the holiday season later this year.
