A great musician Teena was named Mary Christine Brockert in her birth but was well known as Teena Marie in the stage and also known as Lady Tee, Ivory Queen of Soul.  She passed away at the age of 54 on December 26th of the year 2010 in Pasadena, California, United States. Her music belonged to genres like R&B, disco, hip hop, blue eyed soul, soul, funk, jazz etc. She was a great vocalist but also played keyboard, electric guitars and congas very well.
