American television producer, screenwriter, and author, Shonda Rhimes is best known as the showrunner of medical drama, Grey’s Anatomy.

Better known as the queen of ABC network, she is the creator, head writer and executive producer of some hit series of the network.

She has been associated with the show, Grey’s Anatomy since it premiered in 2005.

Following the success of the show, it’s spin-off series, Private Practice, was premiered in 2007 and aired for six seasons till 2013.

In 2011, she wrote a pilot episode for a new series, Scandal, which was later picked by ABC.

‘Scandal’ debuted on April 5, 2012, and is set conclude after the seventh season in 2018.

In 2014, she came up with her next series, How to Get Away with Murder. Actress, Viola Davis is cast as the lead in the show.

She has experienced a huge success over the years and now, she is all set to find new avenues as she signed a deal with Netflix in August 2017.

She will be ending her collaboration with ABC in June 2018, along the end of her contract.

As of 2018, Shonda has garnered a net worth $120 million.
