Malcolm Reynolds is one of the early roles of Nathan Fillion‘s career which pushed him to stardom. He first played the role in Joss Whedon’s sci-fi TV series ‘Firefly’ in 2002. The show was cancelled in 2003 and he reprised the role in it’s big-screen adaptation ‘Serenity’ in 2005.
