When she was 12, she began learning the guitar. Her music has been influenced by artists like Michelle Branch, Jewel, Eva Cassidy, Sheryl Crow and Carrie Underwood.
In 2011, her first single First Kiss saw its release. Its music video was directed by CMT Music Award winning director Trey Fanjoy. The video was featured on an episode of Wheel of Fortune as a tribute on her 17th birthday. The song was later featured in the season finale of CMT series Sweet Home Alabama.
Sajak is presently a student at Princeton University.
