Eric Bolling and his wife are devastated by their only son’s death
The 19-year-old Eric Chase Bolling was found dead in Boulder, Colorado, where he was studying economics at the University of Colorado. According to the Boulder police, the cause of death is still under investigation.
While multiple reports cited the sudden death as a suicide, former Fox News anchor tweeted that authorities told the family that “there’s no sign of self-harm at his point.” Bolling also requested through the tweet, ‘Autopsy will be next week. Please respect our grieving period.”
Earlier in the day, Eric confirmed the death of their only son with wife Adrienne. He tweeted, “Adrienne and I are devastated by the loss of our beloved son Eric Chase last night. Details still unclear. Thoughts, prayers appreciated.”
The death came amid an already brutal situation for Bolling, who just lost his high-profile job at Fox News due to accusations of sending unsolicited photos and lewd messages to three female colleagues.
He was suspended in early August after the Huffington Post published the story detailing the allegations. Fox News announced the end of Bolling’s journey with the network on Friday and also announced the cancellation of the show Fox News Specialists, where Eric had a lead role before the suspension. His departure has been claimed to be amicable.
