Shane is the second generation racer with lots of experience, where his father Rex McAlary is the first generation racer. He owned ’77 Vega since he was 16. The Red Vega, which he still owns was simple, stock unibody street car. Shane met Shawn Ellington, of Future Nova and Street Outlaws fame, while he was racing the Vega nearly 20 years ago around Elk city and Sayre and on Oklahoma. In 2014 he successfully completed Hot Rod Magazine’s Drag Week.
