Sage Steele
Sage Steele is an American television sports anchor. She is one of the renowned female sports anchors on the television. Since her childhood, Sage used to dream of being a broadcaster for the worldwide leader in sports- ESPN.
She was born on November 28, 1972, in Panama Canal Zone. In 1995, Sage Steele graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in sports communication from Indiana University Bloomington. And the more exciting and the greatest honoring moment in her life is that, exactly after 20 years, she was the commencement speaker at the 2015 Indiana University undergraduate commencement. Her broadcasting career started by joining at WSBT-TV, the CBS affiliate in South Bend, Indiana. She worked there as a news producer and reporter from 1995 to 1997. After that, she got the chance to serve and collect experiences through many channels. And, eventually, on March 16, 2007, Sage joined ESPN and made her dream comes true.
Sage Steele is the daughter of Mona and Gary Steele, who was the first African-American to play Varsity football at West Point during the mid-1960s. She has her two brothers, Courtney and Chad, who is the Vice President of Media Relations for the NFL’s Baltimore Ravens. Now, Sage is a famous face in the sports world and popular amongst sports lovers. In addition, she is also a wife and mother of three children. In 1999, Sage Steele married to Jonathan Bailey. They met at Indiana University. And, now, they are the parents of the three children. Their three adorable children’s names are Nicholas, Quinn, and Evan. Sage never wants to face that condition where she has to choose between her career and her family. Since Jonathan is a home-stay-dad, she has got the environment to focus and balance her career with her family.
Recently, we find her hosting the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday editions of NBA Countdown on ESPN and ABC. Sage Steele is a happy married sportscaster who is enjoying in her both personal and professional life.
