Should ESPN fire Jemele Hill over Trump tweet? Tucker Carlson thinks so.
Jemele Hill is in hot water for her views on Donald Trump. The ESPN anchor is no fan of the president and she made her views clear with her recent tweets calling him a “white supremacist” and “ignorant” and accusing him of empowering white supremacists. This of course has riled up the Twitterverse and even Tucker Carlson had something to say about it!
Tucker Carlson slams Jemele Hill on Tucker Carlson Tonight
Appearing on his Fox News show, Carlson made a jab at ESPN saying “You probably thought ESPN stood for entertainment and sports programming network. Increasingly it looks like endless stupid political nagging.”
The conservative host then read Hill’s tweet in its entirety and dismissed the ESPN’s response as “whatever that means.”
Alongside Fox Sports 1’s Clay Travis, Carlson then discussed why Hill is not being fired from ESPN after her rash comments when Curt Shilling and Mike Dikta were previously fired for their comments regarding the transgender bathroom law and bashing Barack Obama respectively. Travis took to Twitter to give his two cents on the whole controversy.
To me, calling someone a white supremacist is like calling them a pedophile. You better be 100% right with that accusation.

Should ESPN fire Jemele Hill? Here’s what she said in her tweets
Hill went on a Twitter rant last night where she denounced Donald Trump as a white supremacist who has risen to power as “a direct result of white supremacy.”
Aside from calling the President “ignorant”, “unqualified” and a “bigot”, Hill also mentioned that he would’ve never been elected if “he were not white.”
She accused him of empowering white supremacists, referring to his response to the violence at Charlottesville.
“The height of white privilege is being able to ✌?ignore✌?his white supremacy, because it’s of no threat to you. Well, it’s a threat to me,” wrote Hill in one of her tweets.
Following Hill’s rant ESPN sent out an official statement on Twitter that said Hill’s views did not represent the network, calling it “inappropriate.”
On Twitter, people left and right are calling for Jemele’s dismissal from ESPN. Should the host have been given a penalty for her comments? What do you think? Let us know your views in the comments below.
