The search is on! Kevin Hart has recently withdrawn his name as the host of Academy Awards 2019. After he stepped down from hosting the coveted award show, the Academy is scrambling to find his replacement. Who would like to get into the often thankless job?

Who Should Host 91st Annual Academy Awards?

Many film critics and Oscars fans online have spilled their suggestions. Also, actors who will be at the Oscars have put forward a few names to do the job. Former hosts like Billy Crystal, Ellen DeGeneres and Jimmy Kimmel may take the stage, or we may see new faces like Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have been hosting Golden Globes for several years and have received rave reviews too. Jordan Peele and Keegan Michael, Hannah Gadsby and Patton Oswalt are also among the popular suggestions.

Ricky Gervais is willing to host and promises that he won’t offend anyone, not even Mel Gibson, whom he insulted at the Golden Globes in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2016. As per actress Busy Philipps, she, Issa Rae, Sarah Silverman, Ali Wong, Samantha Bee, Robin Thede and Aisha Tyler are the possible selections. While many are willing to see Wanda Sykes as the host, she has suggested some quirky names i.e., Siri and Alexa.
