Matthew W. Davis (born May 8, 1978) is an American actor, who became a household name starring as Alaric Saltzman on The Vampire Diaries. Davis made his acting debut with a minor role in a war drama film and got a breakthrough after playing Warner Huntington III opposite Reese Witherspoon in Legally Blonde (2001).
