Steven Mnuchin turned bankrupted IndyMac to South California’s largest bank, OneWest

A group led by Steven Mnuchin bought a residential lender IndyMac in 2005. It was one of the finance company he bought when it was about to be bankrupted. He renamed it to OneWest and served as a chairman and CEO until selling it to CIT Group in 2015.
