A senior designer and machinist, Jason Pohl is well known for his appearance in the reality show, American Chopper. In the custom motorcycle fabrication company Orange County Choppers, he works as a chopper designer.

Early life details

Jason Pohl was born on July 1, 1981, in Mendota, Illinois, USA. After finishing high school, he was planning to join the U.S. Marine Corps. However, he enrolled at the Illinois Institute of Art majoring in Fine Arts after he got the August Holland Scholarship.

Career as a designer!

Jason started his career as an Artist/Animator of video games at Incredible Technologies, Arlington Heights, IL. He worked on the digital pinball prototype license by OCC and was responsible for the modeling and designing the choppers which were featured in the game.

For his commendable work, he was able to impress Paul Teutul Sr., who swiftly approached him to join the team. Since joining OCC in 2004, he has been an integral part. Being the part of the shop opened his door towards nation-wide success.

He became the cast member of the show, American Chopper. For him, the most challenging part of all is to reshape the two-dimensional conceptual drawings and modeling into fully functional three-dimensional parts.

Also, a funny guy, when asked Jason what he does for a living, he says,

Well, I draw pictures of motorcycles, and then I color them in. So, in a way, I get paid for color.

But there’s more than what he says he does; he is involved in research and development, conceptual sketching, 3D modeling, and delivering of the designs at OCC. After the series, American Chopper finished airing its sixth season, its spin-off, OCC: Senior vs. Junior was premiered. The show aired its first season on August 12, 2010. After airing its fourth season on December 17, 2012, the show was called off.

Jason and Paul Sr. together have a parts line. More recently, in an interview in Feb 2017, he revealed their ideas to do bolt-on Harley Davidson parts, so that anyone can buy it easily. The show, American Chopper, which was called off six years ago has been renewed for season 7. The news season aired on March 1, 2018, and as of now, Jason appears in the show.

A family man!

Pohl is happily married to Krystle Pohl. They tied the knot in 2010. Together, they share three sons, namely, Kipton (born 2016), Maxton (born 2014), and Cashton. Jason does not shy out showing his love towards his wife and family. He is frequently seen sharing pictures with his family. As of now, the family of five is leading a happy life.

Jason Pohl is well-recognized as a senior designer and machinist at Orange County Choppers, the subject of American TV series, American Chopper.

Pohl was born on July 1, 1981, in Mendota, Illinois, USA.

Growing up, he planned to join the U.S. Marine Corps after completing high school.
