Club
In December 2014, Jack Steffen signed with German side SC Freiburg going on to log minutes with the reserve team as the club’s third-choice keeper. Meanwhile, two years later, Steffen accepted a contract with MLS’ Columbus Crew. Meanwhile, after a brief loan to the Pittsburgh Riverhounds, Steffen’s Crew breakout came in 2017, featuring prominently in the club’s first-round playoff match against red-hot Atlanta United FC.
Through 120 minutes of regulation, he made eight saves and went on to save two attempts in the penalty shootout to help Columbus eventually advance to the Eastern Conference Final. Most importantly, this boosted his credentials as a reliable keeper, earning him a starting spot at the club moving forward.
Later on, he starts a new adventure when he joins English Premier League side Manchester City on 9th July 2019. As a result, his contract with Manchester City is for five years. In Conclusion, his contract will expire on 30th June 2023.
