Jennifer Taylor got her movie debut in the year 1998 in the erotic thriller Wild Things playing the role of the sensual Barbara Baxter. Her bold portrayal of the character was noteworthy, which garnered her a small fan base. She got opportunities to work in two other movies the same year, Holy Man and The Waterboy. She also appeared in television series Miami Sands and Maximum Bob.
Despite appearing in several movies, it wasn’t a smooth road for Jennifer Taylor in Hollywood. At one point, the desperate actress had decided to give up acting and opted to move back to Florida with her husband, Paul, and two children to become an acting teacher. But fate had other plans for her and she was offered the role of Chelsea.
Much of her fame can be credited to her role in the CBS sitcom series Two and a Half Men. Her character, Chelsea, first appeared as a recurring character in the 6th season of the series and was promoted to a lead role the following season. She appeared as a guest in season 9.
Regarding her offer to play the character of Chelsea, Jennifer commented in an interview with dfw.com, “...and finally, when they were looking for a more serious love interest, it ended up being me. I already knew the cast and we were comfortable, but I still don’t think they had any intentions of making it a regular thing. It all just kind of worked. And it keeps on going, thank goodness.”
Ever since then, she has been appearing in different movies and series including Rumor Has It, Fair Haven, Las Vegas and Ghost Whisperer to name a few. Her most recent work includes working for the movies Arlo: The Burping Pig series, Street Level: Behind the Scenes Featurrette, and Death's Door.
