Adjustments have kept Tish Cyrus's marriage afloat

Tish Cyrus married singer Billy Ray Cyrus on 28th December 1993. At the beginning of their relationship, Billy wasn’t established in the industry yet. The couple had their first daughter, Miley Cyrus, on November 13, 1992. They had their second child, Braison Chance Cyrus, on May 9, 1994. Six years later, Tish gave birth to Noah Lindsay Cyrus when she was 33 years old.

Tish was previously married to Baxter Neal Helson with whom she has two kids named Brandi, and Trace. Billy later adopted them.

The mother of five also had an alleged affair with American singer Bret Michaels, which is thought to be the reason behind her first divorce scare. Michaels had agreed to work on a song with Miley Cyrus. In an interview on Fox & Friends, he maintained that his relationship with the Cyrus family was strictly business, “When I was in the studio, Miley came in and sang on my song and that was it.” Billy filed a divorce in 2010 citing irreconcilable differences but they reconciled a few months later.

A second divorce filing threatened their marriage in 2012. This time it was Tish who filed for divorce. However, after couples’ therapy, Billy and Tish got back together again. In an interview with People, Billy stressed the importance of making adjustments in a relationship. He said, “Life is a series of adjustments, and you just try to do the best you can.”
