The Voice is adding not one but two music legends in their ranks to mentor the season 11 finalists. Married country music veterans Faith Hill and Tim McGraw will take their position in order to prepare the artist for the knockout rounds later this month.
Their inclusion also marks the first time the show has had two musicians in the all important positions. The new inclusions will spend time with current coaches Miley Cyrus, Alicia Keys, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton and their teams.
While in their stay, the duo will give pointers about the participants' performances and prepare them for the rest of the competition.
Together, Hill and McGraw are one of the most celebrated musical couples in the industry. Hill alone has won five Grammy awards and has sold 30 million albums worldwide.
While on the other hand, Tim McGraw is the first singer to have three songs charting on the Billboard Country Music Airplay chart. The duo will separate expertise in order to motivate the singers to give their best performance.
Faith Hill, while announcing the news of herself and her husband Tim joining The Voice said, “I think having the perspective of performing live in many different stadiums, will help us in working with the Voice artists this seasons”. She also highlighted the importance of connecting with the audience while performing.
As for Tim McGraw, he likes to dig into the song and their presentation in a live environment. Tim, a music lover and a motivator, is here in The Voices to help the artists reach their potential. The country superstars will help the artist to prepare for the next round the Knockout rounds.
Their inclusion in The Voices makes this year a busy one for the legendary couple as they have to fulfill their duty as the key advisor on season 11 of The Voices and celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary on October 6th. The Voice airs on Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 pm ET/PT on NBC.
After fulfilling their duties in The Voice, Faith Hill, and Tim McGraw will hit the road on the Soul2Soul World Tour in 2017. The tour is likely to kickoff in New Orleans, Louisiana on April 7th and end in Brooklyn, New York on October 27th.
This will mark Hill and McGraw’s third joint tour and the 10th anniversary of their previous Soul2Soul II tour in 2006. Their first Soul2Soul tour took place in 2002. Likewise, their current nationwide trek will also be Hill's first tour since 2007.
