The Home Improvement famed actor will be reprising his voice role as the toy space ranger, Buzz Lightyear, in the highly awaited upcoming installment of Pixar animation, Toy Story. Toy Story 4 is slated for a June 21, 2019, release.
He first voiced the character in 1995. The sequel, Toy Story 2, was released two years later to critical and commercial success and an Annie Award win for Allen. The third movie of the popular franchise was even a greater success with a box office earning of $1.067 billion. In fact, Toy Story 3 is the third highest grossing animated movie of all time.
In 2010, it was reported that Tim and actor Tom Hanks would be reprising their respective roles in the next installment if it were ever to be made. Tim also voiced Buzz Lightyear in the television specials, Toy Story of Terror! and Toy Story That Time Forgot in 2013 and 2014.
