Initially, Scott Pelley got his start in journalism in 1975 at Lubbock’s KSEL-TV, and ultimately working his way to the much bigger media market of the Dallas/Fort Worth. He joined KXAS-TV located in Fort Worth in 1978, and then moved to Dallas’s WFAA-TV in 1982, working there for next seven years.
From there Scott relocated to New York City, where he got enrolled with CBS News as a reporter. And in the year 2004, Scott joined the cast of America’s popular news show 60 Minutes.
In 2011, Scott Pelly was named the managing editor & anchor of CBS’s nightly show called CBS Evening News. And that exposure helped his gain more fame in the industry.
