Rowan Atkinson
Rowan Atkinson, renowned globally as Mr. Bean, studied at Durham Choristers School, a preparatory school in Durham, England and graduated from St. Bees School.
For higher education, Atkinson first joined Newcastle University and graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Then in 1975, he joined The Queen’s College, Oxford [the same college his father had matriculated from] to pursue a degree of MSc in Electrical Engineering.
Atkinson launched his acting career while he was at the Queen’s College. He was even a member of the Oxford University Dramatic Society (OUDS). He became nationally acclaimed after performing with The Oxford Revue at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August 1976.
