Apart from the success of her blog, The Pioneer Woman, she has an incredibly popular TV show on Food Network of the same title and has released a series of cookbooks. So, today, we are here with some amazing facts about the life of this Culinary mogul that you may not have known.
#6. How She Met her Husband
Ree was all set on the fast life in the big city, with high-heels on, high powered jobs and high stress, of course, that was before she met the love of her life. She grew up in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and later headed to California with a dream to become an actress. She did her schooling in LA and had planned to attend the University of Southern California.
While she was meeting her friends for a drink at the local watering hole, J-Bar, she spotted Ladd, “a tall, strong, and mysterious man, sipping bottled beer and wearing jeans.” Ree and her now husband, Ladd Drummond, the Marlboro Man-esque, as she refers to him, hit it off at the bar. However, they had to part ways after that magical evening.
Ladd promised to call her, but he never did, at least not for four months. She almost moved to Chicago before he scored himself another date with her. She once shared,
I was headed to Chicago. To a new city. To a new life. I had zero business getting attached to anyone around there, let alone some Wrangler–wearing cowboy with salt-and-pepper hair.

After that, her friend started calling her “the Pioneer Woman” as a joke, and the name stuck for good!

We have seen Ree cooking many items. From her steak recipe, which has a lot to do with her being famous in the cooking world, to her finger-licking good, Mexican Rice Casserole, she has found her way into the hearts of many via the stomach.
